About Sean Knudsen
Head Trainer and Owner
About Sean Knudsen — Founder & Head Trainer
Sean Knudsen’s journey into professional dog training began with an unlikely partner—Cami, a tiny, anxious Belgian Malinois who had already been surrendered three times by the time she was three months old.
She was the runt of the litter, neurotic, and nearly impossible for others to manage.
But when she met Sean—then an active-duty U.S. Army instructor—she formed an instant, unshakeable bond.
Cami went everywhere with him. She trained with him between Army classes. She learned obedience, confidence, and structure. And together, they joined a personal protection club, where she showed a level of drive and grit that no one expected.
Despite her size and the fact that she was one of only two female competitors, Sean entered her into national protection sport trials. On paper, they were underdogs—ranked last because they had only ever entered the toughest trials, and often competed alone.

But when it mattered most, Cami was the only dog to complete every event successfully, finishing 50 points ahead of the second-place team and becoming a national champion.
Her victory wasn’t just a trophy; it was the catalyst that revealed Sean’s true calling.
